Which programming files conversion tool should be used for Intel® Stratix® 10 devices in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 19.2 and later?

Description

The Programming File Generator (PFG) tool should be used for all Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA programming file generation/conversion in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 19.2 and later.

This is because the Convert Programming File tool (CPF) will not cover all Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA configuration-related support compared to the Programming File Generator (PFG).

Resolution

This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 19.3.
