What issues might we encounter with the low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) IBIS model for Arria® 10 devices?

Description

During IBIS simulation, you may encounter that the VOD of the differential signals is beyond the range established in Arria® 10 Device Datasheet Table 19 Differential I/O Standards Specifications for Arria® 10 Devices. This issue may be seen using low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) IBIS models generated by the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software IBIS writer as well as using LVDS IBIS models from Arria® 10 IBIS Models Revision 3.2 and earlier, downloaded from Intel® website.

 

Resolution

To workaround this issue please ensure that you are using Arria® 10 IBIS Models Revision 3.3 and later, which can be downloaded from Intel® website.
