RapidIO II IP Core: Incorrect IDLE2 characters during fallback operation
Description
When the RapidIO II IP core goes into fallback mode (x4 to x2) or (x4 to x1) or (x2 to x1), there is a possibility that incorrect IDLE2 characters are being send out.
The incorrect IDLE2 characters will have |M| and |A| characters, is not 16 character apart.
This condition applies only after the port has initialized. But before the link is up, it will resolve when the link is asserted.
Applies to both Quartus Prime Standard and Pro Edition software.
Resolution
No fix is planned. No workaround is required.
