PowerPlay Power Analyzer incorrectly estimates the Arria 10 device transceiver power

Description

In the Quartus II software version 14.1, the PowerPlay Power Analyzer underestimates the Arria 10 device transceiver power consumption.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the Quartus II software version 15.0.

For previous software releases, you must use the PowerPlay Early Power Estimator (EPE) to correctly estimate the Arria 10 device transceiver power consumption.
