Is there a reference on how to enable internal serial loopback mode for the GTS Transceiver PMA link for usage with data rate < 7Gbps?

Description

If you are referring to the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 25.1.1, and plan to enable or disable internal serial loopback mode for your GTS Transceiver for:

• Example designs mentioned below or
  • 1 x 1G PMA Direct Mode (System PLL Clocking) with Custom Cadence
  • 1 x 3.125G PMA Direct Mode (System PLL Clocking) with Custom Cadence
• Any protocol implementation that is less than 7Gbps with RX manual adaptation mode

You can refer to enabling or disabling the internal serial loopback procedure (run_test_silb_bypass) from the main.tcl file.

However, this example procedure is currently not available in the main.tcl script.

This main.tcl script is generated as part of the example design generation flow and stored in the “hwtest” folder.
 

Resolution

You can refer to the attached hwtest.zip file as an example to enable or disable the internal serial loopback procedure of the GTS Transceiver.

In a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software, the run_test_silb_bypass example procedure will be available as part of the example designs generation.
