Yes, in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 17.0, the VHDL files for the Intel® Arria® 10 FPGA SmartVID Controller IP are generated incorrectly, resulting in compilation and simulation failure.

Resolution

To work around this problem, generate the IP in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software version 17.0 (Standard Edition), and compile the files in the Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software version 17.0.

This issue is fixed starting from the Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition Software version 18.0.
