Description

Due to a known issue in Quartus® Prime Pro Edition version 25.3.1, designs targeting Agilex™ 7 FPGA M‑Series devices that enable the open‑drain feature on bidirectional pins may produce the following error during compilation:

Error (20783): Open Drain option is set to 'ON' for pin [pin name], but the setting is not supported by I/O standard 1.2‑V. File: [location]

Resolution

To fix this problem in Quartus® Prime Pro software version 25.3.1, install patch 1.13 below for the correct OS (Operating System)

• Linux: quartus-25.3.1-1.13-linux.run
• Windows: quartus-25.3.1-1.13-windows.exe
