Error (19877): Partial reconfiguration no longer supports synthesis revisions

Description

When you migrate your customer's BSP target to Arria® 10 device from Quartus®II 17.1 to Quartus II 18.0, you might get the following error during base compilation in Quartus II 18.0.

Error (19877): Partial reconfiguration no longer supports synthesis revisions

Resolution

This error is due to PR flow went through a breaking change in Quartus II 18.0. Please redesign your BSP based on the a10_ref in Intel FPGA SDK for OpenCL™ 18.0 installation directory.
