Critical Warning (18964): Dedicated HPS I/O Voltage mismatch. The VCCIO_HPS is set as 1.8V but the HPS dedicated pin is set to an I/O standard of 3.0V
Description
Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software version 16.1, Critical Warnings for dedicated HPS I/O voltage mismatch might be erroneously generated for Intel® Arria® 10 FPGA HPS shared I/O pins.
- The legality check in the Intel Quartus Prime Software version 16.1 erroneously compares the VCCIO_HPS setting to the pins in the HPS shared IO48.
- The VCCIO_HPS setting must be the I/O voltage in the HPS dedicated I/O.
Resolution
This critical warning can be ignored in the Intel Quartus Prime Software v16.1 if:
- VCCIO_HPS matches the voltage on HPS dedicated pins
- The VCCIO on the relevant shared I/O bank matches the I/O standard on the HPS shared I/O pin
This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Intel Quartus Prime Software.
