Are there any known issues when trying to connect the EMI Toolkit to a design?

Description

Yes, if the UniPHY IP has been instantiated using a generate statement, there may be problems relating to the JTAG path name which communicates with the External Memory Interface (EMI) Toolkit. This will result in the EMI Toolkit not being able to find the UniPHY IP. The solution is to remove the generate statement.

The issue will be resolved in a future release of Quartus® II software.
