16 years agoSDRAM on DE0 board
Does anyone have any experience with the SDRAM on the DE0 board? Can it be controlled using the SDRAM controller in sopc or does it require a custom controller? I'm also confused by it having a 13 bit address (12..0), it doesn't seem to fit in with it being 8 Mbytes

Yes, the SDRAM controller in SOPC is the right way.
I have soldered a 64 MByte SDRAM on my DE0 and it works perfectly with 140 MHz controller frequency and -60 degree phase for output clk Kest - Altera_Forum

forgot to mention: SDRAM address is always multiplexed (row and column), so you can theoretically adress 64 MByte
