SDRAM on DE0 board

Does anyone have any experience with the SDRAM on the DE0 board? Can it be controlled using the SDRAM controller in sopc or does it require a custom controller? I'm also confused by it having a 13 bit address (12..0), it doesn't seem to fit in with it being 8 Mbytes

Yes, the SDRAM controller in SOPC is the right way.

I have soldered a 64 MByte SDRAM on my DE0 and it works perfectly with 140 MHz controller frequency and -60 degree phase for output clk

forgot to mention: SDRAM address is always multiplexed (row and column), so you can theoretically adress 64 MByte
