I would like that my students can connect from home to the quartus on linux at the university behind a firewall. Currently we use https://guacamole.apache.org/ as a clientless remote desktop gateway...

3 years agoHi Etang2,
Usb Blaster for Usb rdp redirection is not supported for remote connection. However, remote JTAG is supported for remote FPGA where USB or Ethernet Blaster could be used to interface JTAG to the host PC. Here is the link for your reference: https://www.rocketboards.org/foswiki/Documentation/RemoteDebug?elq_cid=9479505_ts1670901775447&erpm_id=6980624_ts1670901775447
Hope to hear on your findings. Thank you.

Kelly

3 years agoYou are overthinking the problem.
The DE10-Lite is a MAX10 based board with no etherNet and no embedded processor.
Giving each student an etherBlaster is IMHO a non-starter.
Just install the standalone license free Quartus programmer tool on each student's home PC and the problem is solved.
