monitor program for Nios II processor

    I got it to work. I'm pretty sure the issue is one of two things. Either the monitor program needs to be installed in the same directory that the quartus files are installed into, or the newest version of quartus and/or monitor program just have bugs. While I can't say what the real problem is, deleting both quartus and monitor program from my computer, and installing the 2018 version of both quartus and monitor program (version 18.1 to be exact) and installing them in the same directory made my computer able to connect to the board. All the university computers use old versions of monitor program and quartus, so maybe this is an issue with the newest update.
