Linear Interpolation LUT

I am a beginner. I have to devise a mathematical function in a language (Python), log(x) in particular (base 10). I have searched online for techniques on how to implement a look-up table using fixed-point numbers and also how to interface this on an FPGA.

    Please help me kindly to understand the way I can help, if it is about the interfacing with the FPGA or something else.

    Are you using a specific device and Quartus version?
