help needed in altera monitor program

i want to implement an image segmentation algorithm in altera de2 board........i found it is very difficult to develop a hardware platform in sopc...........so i decided to use altera monitor program......actually i need some sample examples to work with d altera monitir program, i mean some sample codings or files related to image processing..

    k...can u tell me........Is image processing projects id possible in altera de2 board....actually i want perform a segmentation algorithm in a image which is stored in in SRAM??????
