Errors in NIOS II code for DE2-115 USB Device Demonstration

I have been trying to get the USB Device Demonstration code to work on my machine and when I try to run the NIOS II Software from the directory given in the DE2 manual it comes back with several errors. Most are semantic errors but there are two other errors which are preventing the program from even getting to the semantic errors. These two errors are listed as C/C++ Problem error types. The code is also listing warnings which indicate that a few different invalid project paths. I am running this at work where I had to download the contents of the System CD onto a network directory and I am unable to run the System CD on my machine Does anyone have experience with this demo code or these error types?
