DE1 sopc VGA controller

Has anyone gotten the VGA IP core working in SOPC for the DE1 board? I can get the monitor to recognize the signal but looks like I am just getting color noise. I am using the pixel mode. ...

Attached is the vga controller controller from terasic for the de1 board. Just add it to your sopc system.

I couldn't get it to display properly.. I have the nios putting a red/green/blue testpattern starting at line 0, yet instead it gets displayed around a third of the screen down! I tried 640x480 25Mhz, and 800x600 40mhz, with no luck.

If anyone gets it working please post how you did it!!
