Compiling Problem with Altera Debug Client

Hi!

I'm using Altera Monitor Programm (3.2) with Quartus II 8.0 Web Edition. When I try to complie the assemble file from the altera tutorial "Introduction to the Altera SOPC Builder Using VHDL Design", it always gives out this error:

Error running nios2-elf-as. (java.lang.NullPointerException)

Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks!

    Please add the environment variable SOPC_BUILDER_PATH and set it to anything.

    This is a known bug which is fixed in the upcoming release of the Monitor Program.

    I have the similary problem but i don't understand the answer. Can you explain that with more details ?
