    You should add a clock generator and some user input, e.g. DIP switches or a pushbutton with a debounce circuit.

    could you suggest a good clock generator that could go with this ?

    I you intend a precise frequency, any 5V crystal oscillator. The usual form factors are DIL8 or DIL14.

    Thanks for your instant reply.

    I could surf along the website to find too many of them and land up no where !

    Does altera specify any clock circuitry for the MAX CPLDs may be the part numbers of the clock oscillators that were tested so that i could add them straight away!
