(Yet Another) USB Blaster Problem

Hi all,

I've been using the same Terasic Blaster on several of my machines for many years now without (quickly solvable) issues. The last time I used it on my desktop machine was about a month ago.

Today I fired up Quartus again and it suddenly claims there's no USB Blaster connected. The Blaster appears in Device Manager, and I tried deleting and re-installed the driver. I've tried v10.1sp1 and v12.1sp1. I've tried rebooting. I've tried the Blaster on my laptop, and it is detected fine. I've tried switching cables, and tried switching USB ports. Nothing causes the Blaster to appear to Quartus.

I'm at a complete loss here. Anyone else had this issue?

mid-post edit: solved(-ish)! I'll post here for future reference. I just uninstalled the v12.1 driver and installed the v10.1 driver, and now it works (don't ask me why)! :eek:
