Correct. Newer devices have many more options for how the LABs and ALMs can be configured, so if you're not using the full ALM, that saves power.
The Agilex Power and Thermal Calculator in QPro 21.4 has a column in the Logic Summary labeled "# Half ALMs".
Why does it count 1/2 ALMs?
Is that because an ALM can be seen as the equivalent of 2x 4-input LUTs?
