What takes SOPC builder so long to open design?

Hi,

I put several posts into this forum concerning an old Nios design I have to port to Nios II.

This time, I wonder why SOPC builder needs soooo long to open my old design. It needs about 6-7 minutes to open. Most time elapses during to adding of the old altera_avalon_user_defined_interface components (see attachment).

What can I do to speed this process up?

    SoPC builder has undergone many changes over recent years. The components have changed. If you are using older components in your system (now known as "Classic" components), it takes a lot longer to open and load those components. If any of your components say "Classic" next to them, this is what is going on. Best to try and upgrade all your components to be compatible with the newer tools.

    I was hoping I can leave everything as it is but in the end I think I have to upgrade them. . .
