4 years agoNormally when updating a project to a new device type one would go into the 'Device Manager' and change the device type from the old one listed (ie, 5CSEMA4U23C6) to the new one you want (ie, 5CSEBA6U23I7). Does doing this not work for you?
Quartus compiles for DEVICES, not BOARDS. Select the correct device for the board you have.

4 years agoI went back and tried that again. The project's device changed, although I was initially unable to compile it as Quartus was throwing "illegal node assignment" errors. However, and I honestly have no idea what I did, I tried it again later and it compiled. The new board is now programmed.
