time_limited.sof file with subscription edition

Hi

We purchased quartus II License recently.

When I am compiling any code with NIOS Processor and some interfaces

The output programming file is xyz_time_limited.sof instead of xyz.sof ?

Why it is time limited ? what does that means .. will it last for some limited time.. not for production use...

I am using quartus ii 12.0 subsciption edition.

Before downloading the license file, i used this tool in trial version (no compilation was completed).

But today after license file download, it is giving this output.

I don't know these things are related or not.

Although in web edition the same project was giving right output xyz.sof.

I am getting the warning from compiler -

--Warning (12190): "Nios II Processor (6AF7_00A2)" will use the OpenCore Plus Hardware Evaluation feature

---Warning (12190): "Nios II Processor (6AF7_00A2)" will use the OpenCore Plus Hardware Evaluation feature

---Warning (265069): Megafunction that supports OpenCore Plus feature will stop functioning in 1 hour after device is programmed

Please suggest.

    some megafunction IPs (under the megacore category) and higher end NIOS soft processor requires separate license purchase. are you using any of those?

    You must have included a NIOS II-S or -F in your design. They are NOT included in your Quartus II license.

    I am using NIOS II -e in my design. Does it also require a license?

    This is a funny thing .

    In web edition (free version) Quartus II, this NIOS II IP core is free.

    And in Subscription edition they want me to pay additional. :(

    Altera must resolve these complexities..

    It takes too long to install and under-stand the tool chain..
