State Machine Editor

Hi guys Ive had this question: in state machine editor while drawing some fsm diagram say you have about 7 inputs if you dont assign some of them in each state, are they supposed to be zero or do ...

Inputs are don't care if the state transitions are not dependent on that input. However, if you are meaning to ask about outputs, I think it won't translate to HDL, and the editor asks to define all outputs, in all states.
