sof2flash, elf2flash and bin2flash returning 255

sof2flash, elf2flash and bin2flash returns 255, without printing anything to stdout or stderr or doing anything useful for Quartus version 12.1 and 13.1 on my computer. I am running Quartus on OpenSu...

I have the same problem with Quartus 13.1 running on either Windows XP or Windows 7. sof2flash and elf2flash do not produce any output. --help option produces no help output to the console window.

Altera, can you comment why these tools are not working?
