Setting up DE0 Board Cyclone III on Fedora 20

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to setup de0 cyclone 3 from terasic. I have successfully installed Quartus , nios 2 eclipse and nios 2 ide. Non of the Altera software is detecting the device.

Hardware configuration on nios2 ide says [Target Connection]: Select a JTAG device. If none are available, try a different cable. I am trying to connect it through a USB cable.

I have searched and it said to put rules on folder rulesd. I have done it and it still doesn't work.

Can anyone help me please I am losing the will to live as I am new to Linux.

Update: Its working now after following a guide to setup JTAG but existing project does not build but new project builds.
