Question about floating point

Hi. I am using a Stratix V board. I was wondering if the FPGA has got DSPs does it mean that it uses DSPs for floating point calculations? Because we know Stratix V does not have an FPU but a DSP als...

On Stratix V, floating-point addition is implemented using logic only, and floating-point multiplication is implemented using both logic and DSPs. On Arria 10 both operations are performed using only DSPs.
