Thanks for the reply. Yeah.... I've started to slowly dig into it to try to get it to work with my old designs... I guess I don't like change.... but there again, I only do 1-2 designs every 3-5 yrs. so I can't keep up with the technology. Every time I do a new design, I have to learn most new things from the ground-up.

Modelsim is hardly new (been around 15+ years) , and not going away anytime soon. If you can learn to use it, then you'll be able to do much more thorough tests on your design and because all simulators are basically the same you'll basically know how to use Cadence and ActiveHDL too.
