Hello -
I have been trying to generate a Stratix V FPGA image using Quartus II 14.0. For no apparent reason, Quartus is "quitting unexpectedly" just when it starts Timing Driven synthesis - it provides no details, other than this: Error: Internal Error: Sub-system: SUTIL, File: /quartus/synth/sutil/sutil_partition.cpp, Line: 570 FAILED in creating pipe dl_pipertl0H8ZArE with error code 28 Stack Trace: 0x20e5d3: sutil_parallel_run_partitions_in_processes(CMP_FACADE*, char const*, char const*, int) + 0x11e3 (synth_sutil) 0x22bdd0: RTL_SCRIPT::call_named_function(char const*, char const*, char const*, int, int, int) + 0x13e0 (synth_opt) 0x22e142: RTL_SCRIPT::process_script(CDB_SGATE_NETLIST*, CDB_SGATE_HIERARCHY*, BASEX_ELABORATE_INFO*, CMP_FACADE*, RTL_SCRIPT_ENUM, char const* (*) [3], int, RTL_SCRIPT_STEP*, RTL_SCRIPT_STEP*) + 0x1512 (synth_opt) 0x463b8: opt_process_netlist_scripted(CMP_FACADE*, CDB_SGATE_HIERARCHY*, BASEX_ELABORATE_INFO*, RTL_SCRIPT_ENUM, bool) + 0x598 (synth_opt) 0x47759: RTL_ROOT::process_sgate_netlist(CMP_FACADE*, CDB_SGATE_HIERARCHY*, BASEX_ELABORATE_INFO*, RTL_PASS_ENUM) + 0x779 (synth_opt) 0x173c02: SGN_SYNTHESIS::high_level_synthesis() + 0x112 (synth_sgn) 0x173e7d: SGN_SYNTHESIS::process_current_stage() + 0x12d (synth_sgn) 0x19b3af: SGN_EXTRACTOR::synthesize_partition(unsigned long) + 0x4af (synth_sgn) 0x19c2bc: SGN_EXTRACTOR::synthesis() + 0x1dc (synth_sgn) 0x19c6aa: SGN_EXTRACTOR::synthesis_and_post_processing() + 0x30a (synth_sgn) 0x1abba1: sgn_qic_full(CMP_FACADE*, _Dinkum_std::vector<_Dinkum_std::basic_string<char, _Dinkum_std::char_traits<char>, MEM_STL_ALLOCATOR<char> >, MEM_STL_ALLOCATOR<_Dinkum_std::ba(continued in attached text file) - See more at: https://mysupport.altera.com/alteraservreq/openservreqdetail.html?srno=11170099&srrowid=1-dm8gg1#sthash.rznzvfuw.dpuf etc. Any advice on what could be causing this would be highly appreciated!
