10 years agoQuartus Prime LIte - USB Blaster/USB Blaster II and compatibility with Windows 10
Hi
Is Quartus Prime LIte - USB Blaster/USB Blaster II and the associated drivers compatible with Windows 10? When I try to make any kind of JTAG connection to a MAX V using a USB Blaster I get a blue screen IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. What is the less costly path to programming and being able to use the Logic Analyzer functions in Quartus Prime Lite with MAX V CPLD with computer with a Windows 10 operating system? If there are any questions or suggestions please let me know. Roger503105 Replies

Windows 10 is not officially supported yet as of v15.1, but it will be in v16.0. Please refer to https://www.altera.com/support/support-resources/download/os-support.html

Interestingly, I'm using Quartus 15.1.1 Web-edition on Windows 10 where I communicate with a Terasic DE0-Nano-SoC with an embedded USB Blaster II interface. And it have worked flawlessly for me.

I've heard that Quartus will not install on windows 10, but if a computer with windows 7 has Quartus already working it will continue to work if the computer is upgraded to windows 10.

Before I crashed my Windows 10 pc, all of 13.1 components were working. For what it's worth...
