15 years ago --- Quote Start --- Mysupport is the place to ask - developers do not monitor the forums. --- Quote End --- However I think they should also take a look sometime since in the forum you find much more information on things that are just not working right. and even worse.... in the forums you can easily find your answer by someone who had the same trouble. if you contac my support you can wait an eternity and at the end. you are left on the same place. In my personal experience I work with Xilinx and Altera, (ISE and Quartus) and both have some issues with their toolchain. and both do not provide enough help on them (forums and google are usually my best Friends) So because of the problems of one I would not switch to the other one, but still it is something to take on account while starting a design. For example. we had just pull out the Nios Processor from the design. because it was just not possible to continue trying to guess what does the software wants. As soon as we started to have trouble we did in parallel another design team to implement some of its tasks by hardware. and I was amazed that full Hardware implementation was much fastaer and stable running than the one with Nios. so We asume the loss of its license and I think I will think it over twice before suggesting it in a design.
