Quartus II 9.0SP2

Hey there!

For a class I'm taking, apparently we are required to use an older version of Quatus II (9.0SP2) in order to facilitate its built in waveform simulation feature. I'm aware of the availability of ModelSim, however, we simply are not allowed to use Quartus II 11.0 + ModelSim. Through our professor's website, we are instructed to request a previous version of Quartus II through the Altera website, however, upon sending an e-mail to quartusrequest@altera.com, I receive an e-mail indicating a delivery failure. There doesn't seem to be any other means by which I can obtain this version of the software [as e-mailing tech support for problems of this nature is prohibited], so I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this problem.

I will be eternally grateful if anyone can help! Thanks for reading.

There used to be a Quartus archive versions download page ...

    https://www.altera.com/download/archives/arc-index.jsp

but it no longer has older software versions.

I would file a service request and ask where the archive has gone.

I use FLEX10K devices which needs the 9.0SP2 tools ... it looks like I would have the same problem if I wanted to install the old tools again!

    Cheers,

    Dave

Reading page 9 of the 9.1 release notes at:

    www,altera,com/literature/rn/rn_qts_91_dev_support.pdf

Design software support for FLEX, APEX, ACEX, and HardCopy Stratix device families is not provided in versions of the Quartus II software beginning with version9.1.

Use the Quartus II software version 9.0 or earlier to support those devices. The Quartus II software version 9.0 and the associated service packs will remain available on the Altera website
