Quartus compilation stuck in register packing process

I'm trying to compile my FPGA design for an Arria 10 device in 'Quartus Prime 16.0.2 build 222 Standard Edition' but the process has stuck in "starting register packing" it won't go further. My PC has Intel Core i7 (3.6GHz) processor & 32 GB RAM. Before upgrading to '16.0.2 build 222' compilation works & completed. Does anyone know why is this happening?

Kindly help!

How large is your design and how long have you waited before thinking it's stuck?

I am facing same issue. Is there anything I can change in the tool to fix this?

    Thank you for your reply!

I have given sample projects with the board even those can't compile. I have waited about 24 hours & still compilation process in "register packing" step.

sstrell Thank you for your reply,

I followed your instructions & reinstalled Quartus. No error or warning showed during the installing. But still, the problem remains the same.
