Honored ContributorI'm trying to compile my FPGA design for an Arria 10 device in 'Quartus Prime 16.0.2 build 222 Standard Edition' but the process has stuck in "starting register packing" it won't go further. My PC has Intel Core i7 (3.6GHz) processor & 32 GB RAM. Before upgrading to '16.0.2 build 222' compilation works & completed. Does anyone know why is this happening?

I have given sample projects with the board even those can't compile. I have waited about 24 hours & still compilation process in "register packing" step.Honored ContributorBad installation of Quartus, perhaps? Try reinstalling.

I followed your instructions & reinstalled Quartus. No error or warning showed during the installing. But still, the problem remains the same.
