Qsys, trying to connect clock and reset to external pins - how!?

I found it, I needed to double-click the signal in the "Export" column. Weird thing is, the little "external connection" symbol for these pins must show up differently between versions of Quartus. In the below link notice the little external pin connection symbol indicating it's an external pin? Those don't show up in mine.
