platform designer GUI does not display. the Quartus version is 19.3.0.222 the operation is Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I also have the same problem with Modelsim application.

I got the following message on the terminal when I start Modelsim:

Couldn't load font /opt/tools/altera/modelsim_ase/linuxaloem/Visualizer/fonts

Reading pref.tcl

    Has the EDA path set correctly for modelsim?

    Open the Options dialog box by selecting Options on the Tools menu. Select the EDA Tool Options category, and change the path to the following:

    <install_directory>/modelsim_ase/linuxaloem
