17 years ago --- Quote Start --- Hello, I worked through the nios 2 hardware development tutorial (http://www.altera.com/literature/tt/tt_nios2_hardware_tutorial.pdf) from the Altera website in order to set-up a Nios 2 processor on my DE2 development board for the first time. Everything went well until I got to the pin assignment part. When I tried to change the pin location of the LED outputs of the Nios to the actual LEDs on the board Quartus II gives me the following error: "Editing location assignment is not successful. The pin is already assigned." Any suggestions how I should react to that problem? The tutorial doesn't mention it. I understand that I can't control the LEDs through my processor if I don't get those connections right. Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks a lot, riemann --- Quote End --- I'm not familiar with this tutorial, but are the pin assignments predefined or done by yourself? You can see the assignment e.g. in the assignment editor.
