On Nios 2 and previous versions of quartus for linux

I would like to ask a 2 part question. Recently I moved from windows 10 to ubuntu 18.04 and I want to use Quartus for ubuntu.

I installed Quartus 20.1.1 Lite edition on ubuntu but somehow I can't open the Eclipse Nios 2 software. I found a few solutions online but all solutions are basically broken or are from unreliable sources. Do you have any advice on how to fix Eclipse? Similarly for ModelSim.

On the other hand, I could install a different version of quartus, but based on my experience, I want to install Quartus 15.0 only, since I really had a bad time building projects for my Arrow DECA (very long story). But I can't find the correct section in the Altera Download Center, I can only find versions of quartus from 17 to 22. Is there anywhere to download previous versions of quartus?

Thanks.

    Hi

Welcome to Intel forum. Per my understanding, ubuntu 18.04 is not an officially support OS for Nios. An unsupported platform means that some things may work, but others not, and we won't put any resources into debugging or diagnosing. For more details refer the below link,

To download previous versions of Quartus, could you provide details for checking, see if we could help you further.
