MSim/QII: Viewing m4K blocks in simulation.

In the "Memories" pane of Modelsim, it lists the M4K memory- a dual port in my case, in bit wide "stripes" versus as one contiguous 2K deep/8bit wide memory. The problem is when I simulate and...

I don't understand, what's the original configuaration of the said memory. It's shown as 2048x17, quite different from a bit wide location . The display format of 17 bit wide memory words can be changed of course, but there's no 2048x8 memory.
