ModelSim not working with Altera Quartus II web edition version 14.0

my modelsim that came with altera is not working, it doesn't start when i start the rtl simulation. it shows the error that the correct path is not specified and i tried it and typed the correct path and it didn't work again. is it a bug in the software or is there any other issue?
