License problem ModelSim 6.3g

Hello, if i start ModelSim 6.3g_p1 (Comes with QII 8.1) i get an "License Error". See Attachment. No problem with MoedelSim 6.1g (Comes with QII 8.0). Variables are checked. Had someone a...

Hi,

I had the same problem and eventually solved it.
  • Inside the license file there might be paths to old binaries (I don't know, if these had anything to do with the problem but they pointed to my 7.2 version...)

  • when using LmTools, you have to stick to the 8.1 version and under the tabular "Config Services" you have to update the "Path to lmgrd.exe file" so a new version of the lmgrd.exe is used at windows startup.
