illegal character

Hi,

i have installed quartusII 10.0 on windows 7. I am not able to open project because of the error "The project or revision name contains one or more of the following illegal characters and cannot be opened : ^&?*|<>;' ". The same 10.0 installed on an XP machine and with the same project don't give the error. What can it be??
