https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/488274 sudo mount --bind /dev/bus /proc/bus sudo ln -s /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices /proc/bus/usb/devices Add these lines to /etc/rc.local (without the sudo) to make the USB Blaster work on startup. Remove the old usbfs method from /etc/fstab I also contacted Altera support and got: --- Quote Start --- Thank you for reporting this issue to us. I have filed an enhancement request to our software team to address this issue. It is now temporarily set to be considered by Quartus II v10.1. --- Quote End --- --- Quote Start --- Quartus II v10.1 is temporarily scheduled to be released by end of this year.
