Well, in 2.6.31-20 usbfs kernel support has been removed for good...at least according to the posts that I read. As a result, none of these workarounds will function. Let's hope that Altera will move to fix this quickly.

Just ran into this too, now running -19.

This was an intentional change and I don't see any prospect of getting Ubuntu developers to change their mind, so I hope for some action from Altera as well.
