how to use template.xml in examples/software

Hi

I do see the template.xml in directories like /opt/altera9.1/nios2eds/examples/software/hello_world. I am a little slow, but what command line utility do I use to create the right file structure (Makefile, bsp, etc).

Any help will be appreciated.
