Failure to obtain a simulation license

Why do I get the following error: "Failure to obtain a simulation license# Error loading design when opening a design to simulate in ModelSim Altera Edition?"

Which version of the tools are you using?

If lmtools doesn't exist in whatever version of Modelsim you have installed, install the v11.0sp1 tools to get it.
