Failure to obtain a simulation license

Why do I get the following error: "Failure to obtain a simulation license# Error loading design when opening a design to simulate in ModelSim Altera Edition?"

Yes I have the LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable set, ModelSim was working just yesterday I got this ERROR.

Could you please tell me how can I get to lmtools?
