External Licensing for Intel Employees

Hello,

I was reading the license information for Intel employees:

https://intelpedia.intel.com/Altera

It looks like I'm a greater Intel employee (not PSG). Can I use the LICENSE servers from a home computer that is not connected to the internal Intel network? Will that work or do I need to be connected to the Intel network (via VPN)?

Thanks,

Stephen

    Hi

No, license server needs to be connected via VPN. If you wanted to work off-line, apply a fixed employee license in self-service licensing center (SSLC) https://licensing.intel.com/

    1) Go to Sign up for Employee licenses

    2) Select Intel® FPGA EMPLOYEE-LIC

    3) # of Seats is always 1

    4) Check the T&C box

    5) Click Get License button

The license will be sent to email that you register with

    Hello again,

Actually, the steps you describe don't work for me. When I enter the SSLC page (as an Intel employee) it just puts up a circle with Finish on it. Below it states that "This registration form is only used by external users and not Intel employees. Please reference the help document for further instructions."

When I click on the help document it takes me to the SSLC internal access page:

    https://wiki.ith.intel.com/display/FPGALicensing/SSLC+internal+access

The SSLC internal page states that I will need to request one of four roles listed on AGS. The four roles are the following:

SSLC – general Intel employees/contingent workers

SSLC – Sales enablement portal internal user

    Sales CRM (Salesforce)--Core Access

    Sales CRM (Salesforce)--Core Access

So, I guess I'm a "SSLC – general Intel employees/contingent workers"? Anyhow, I got myself to the AGS webpage. When I search AGS for "SSLC" only two Entitlements listed:

    Sales-PSG(Salesforce)-Licensing SSLC Internal User

    Approver-Sales-PSG-SFDC-Licensing SSLC Internal User-Approver-Workgroup

I'm not a Salesforce person so these don't apply to me. Where is "SSLC – general Intel employees/contingent workers"? What should I do next?

    Thanks,

    Stephen
