Error in open for .ptf file

Hi all,

I am getting error: "The File anc.ptf is an SOPC Builder generation output file, and cannot be loaded."

I have one .PTF file which is generated using some other system and i want to access this file in my SOPC builder so i tried to open the same using Altera Quartus-10.1 SP1 version and immediately a pop-up with this error appears. "The File anc.ptf is an SOPC Builder generation output file, and cannot be loaded."

Is there is any work around to solve this to get rid of this?

Or is there any other way to open or access the file.

In Notepad++ i could see all the components of the .ptf file so it is not corrupted one.

    Don't you have the .sopc file? The .sopc file is the input file to SOPC builder and the .ptf file is the output. You are supposed to work with the .sopc file. In some cases SOPC builder is able to reconstruct the design from a .ptf file but it doesn't always work, as you see, especially if you try to load it in a different version of Quartus than the one that generated the .pft file.
