cycloneive_atoms error in simulation

I am using modelsim pe and I am trying to do gate level simulation.

I load the altera supplied libraries and start the simulation and it is immediately stopped at a fatal error in the altera supplied cycloneive_atoms.vhd

how can I find out what is wrong? verror says what I took to be an error code is not valid.

How can I find out is wrong and how can I rectify it?
